The Government of Katsina State operates within the framework of Nigeria's federal system, with executive, legislative, and judicial branches working together to ensure effective governance. Under the leadership of His Excellency, Dr. Dikko Umar Radda, the state government is committed to transparency, accountability, and inclusive development that benefits all citizens.
Our governance structure includes the Executive Council, the State House of Assembly, the Judiciary, and various Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs) that implement policies and deliver services to the people. Through strategic policies and initiatives, we are working to transform Katsina into a model of good governance and sustainable development.

Executive Branch
Led by the Executive Governor
The Executive Branch is headed by the Governor and includes the Deputy Governor, Commissioners, Special Advisers, and other appointees who implement policies and administer the state.
Legislative Branch
The State House of Assembly
The Legislative Branch consists of elected representatives who make laws, approve budgets, and provide oversight of the executive branch's activities.
Judicial Branch
The State Judiciary
The Judicial Branch interprets and applies the law through a system of courts, ensuring justice, protecting rights, and resolving disputes.

Executive Governor
His Excellency, Dr. Dikko Umar Radda, was sworn in as the Executive Governor of Katsina State on May 29, 2023. Prior to his election, he served as the Director-General of the Small and Medium Enterprises Development Agency of Nigeria (SMEDAN).
